Booking conditions

Reservations must be made with sufficient advance notice to guarantee availability. The reservation is only confirmed after full payment of the stay.

The maximum capacity is 14 guests, and accommodation is always fully booked.

Room layout:

  • Bedroom 1: 1 double bed + 1 bunk bed (mezzanine)
  • Bedroom 2: 1 double bed + 1 bunk bed (mezzanine)
  • Bedroom 3: 1 double bed
  • Room 4: 1 double bed
  • Room 5: 1 double bed (or 2 single beds, according to preference)

Stays:

  • Minimum: 1 night
  • Maximum: 30 days

Services

  • Breakfast included.
  • Meals: Lunch and dinner available by prior arrangement (number of guests and menu to be determined).
  • Transportation: Optional service through our partner Douro First Tours.

  • Pet Hotel Service: Possibility of pet boarding nearby, through the Quinta Equestre da Sardoeira.

Payment

  • At the time of booking: Full payment of the total stay is required to guarantee the reservation.
  • At check-in: A security deposit of €600 is required.
  • Security Deposit Refund: This amount will be refunded to you after your stay (via the same credit card used, if applicable), after verifying the condition of the accommodation and deducting the cost of any damage you may have caused to the property.

Cancellation

  • Free cancellation up to 2 weeks before the check-in date, with a full refund of the amount paid.
  • After these deadlines, no refunds will be issued.

Schedules

  • Check-in: from 2 PM to 6 PM (flexible, subject to availability)
  • Check-out: until noon (12:00) (flexible, subject to availability)

Pets

Casa do Ferrão does not accept pets (“no pet friendly”).
However, pet accommodation is available at nearby facilities – Quinta Equestre da Sardoeira, by direct reservation.

Parking lot

Free private parking is available for guests.

Damage caused or missing items

We reserve the right to charge for any damages intentionally caused by the customer, upon presentation of the corresponding invoices with the amounts corresponding to the items or repairs to be charged.
The €600 deposit may be partially or fully retained, depending on the assessment of the damages.

Smokers

Smoking is not permitted on the property.
